The Ride Along Program provides individuals the opportunity to ride as a guest on a Rockledge Fire Department vehicle. Citizens wishing to participate in this program must be a minimum of eighteen years old, or sixteen years old with parental consent.
Please obtain and fill out the Ride Along Waiver Form and submit it to our administrative office located at the Department of Public Safety, 1776 Jack Oates Boulevard, Rockledge. In order to accommodate possible schedule conflicts, you need to have several alternative dates you would like to ride along on.
Ride Along Requirements:
- Read and follow the Ride Along Guidelines (PDF)
- Must be 18 years of age or older; 16 years of age with parental consent
- Must complete and submit the Ride Along Waiver Form
- Must comply with the dress code (see Ride Along Guidelines)
- Must schedule and make arrangements 5 days prior to date of ride-along
- The rider will be a passive observer and must obey any orders given by the Supervisor they are assigned to
- The rider will not interfere with Rockledge Fire Department personnel in the performance of their duties
- The rider will not handle any Rockledge Fire Department equipment, unless specifically authorized by RFD personnel
General Ride Along
- Ride Along times: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Limited to 8 hours per month
- Please provide us with a minimum of 5 days advance notice.
