Community Outreach

The department is community-oriented and encourages personnel to be involved in community activities both on-duty and off-duty. In promoting this policy, the departments’ labor organization, Rockledge Professional Firefighters Association and the department administration have collaborated on various levels.

Some of the outreach activities include:

  • Annual Christmas programs
  • Annual July 4th Community Picnic
  • Fire Department open house and demonstrations
  • Halloween candy distribution
  • United Way Feed and Read Program

  • Ride-along programs
  • Street and block parties
