[ARCHIVED] Holiday Disposal Tips

News Flash

Holiday disposal tips from the City of Rockledge Sanitation Division:

Real Christmas trees must have all tinsel, garland, lights, and decorations removed prior to disposal. Trees are to be placed out for pickup by 7:00 a.m. on your yard waste pickup day. They do not require a Special Pick-Up.

Plain wrapping paper can be recycled.  If your wrapping paper has foil, metallic material or glitter on it, it must be disposed of via your household garbage. Ribbon and bows are also not recyclable and should be disposed of in your regular household garbage can.

Christmas lights and decorations are not recyclable and will need to be disposed of in your household garbage can.

Happy New Year!
