[ARCHIVED] Assistant City Manager/Finance Director Matthew Trine Honored with GFOA Hero Award

Matthew Trine, City of Rockledge Assistant City Manager/Finance Director, recently received the 2021 Hero Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).  

This award honors individuals in the realm of government finance who have impacted their community through leadership during a time of health, financial, natural or human-made crisis by taking active steps toward recovery and renewal.       

“Matthew has been employed with the City of Rockledge since June 2016, and from the very beginning, he has handled every hurricane, audit, software conversion and now pandemic with grace and perseverance.  In addition to his daily duties, he regularly and without hesitation pursues new initiatives that make the City more efficient and better prepared to serve the public,” said City Manager Dr. Brenda Fettrow.  “He is very deserving, and I was proud to nominate him for this award.”
