[ARCHIVED] Cancellations and Closures Due to COVID-19

Coronavirus

Out of an abundance of caution toward preventing the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Rockledge has postponed or canceled a number of public meetings and events over the next couple of months:

  • All Board and Committee meetings scheduled for April and May, 2020 (excluding City Council, which will proceed as previously scheduled)
  • April 4 – Trash Bash
  • April 15 – Arbor Day Art Contest
  • April 16 – Equipment Dedication at Taylor Park
  • April 18 – Volunteer Breakfast
  • April 23 – Ribbon Cutting, 881 Barton Boulevard
  • April 24 – Arbor Day Tree Planting

Additionally, the following locations are closed and unavailable for rent through May 31, 2020:

  • Georgia Phillips Reading Room at the Rockledge Community Resource Center, 123 Barton Boulevard
  • All City rental facilities:
  • Community Room, Rockledge Department of Public Safety, 1776 Jack Oates Boulevard
  • Old St. Mary’s Church, 56 Barton Avenue
  • Rockledge Civic Hub, 530 Barton Boulevard
  • Rockledge Municipal Building, 11 Orange Avenue
  • Thompson House, 1220 Pluckebaum Road
  • Training Room, Rockledge Community Resource Center, 123 Barton Boulevard

The following service has been discontinued through May 31, 2020:

  • Brevard County Library System satellite location at Rockledge City Hall, 1600 Huntington Lane

In addition to the above cancellations and closures, the City requests public cooperation in limiting foot traffic at City facilities, unless the visit is absolutely necessary.  Drop boxes should be utilized in the City Hall lobby for submittals to the Building Department.  Employment applications should only be submitted via e-mail to charris@cityofrockledge.org.
